1996  Beneteau 461  - 4 cabin

Sold - call and let us find you a boat ....

Beneteau 461 brokerage sailboat waiting for you at the dock ......   If you have been waiting for a 4 cabin (or even a 3 cabin ) boat for your larger family or group of friends, this is your chance. And with a headroom of approximate 6' 5" ... no one feels crowded.   With a bow thruster, 10 man raft, new color radar and chartplotter .....  all ready to go.

The Farr Yacht designed 461 is a solid bluewater cruiser with impressive speed and a rig that is innovative and efficient. Strength and reliability have been built into every aspect. An incredibly spacious, bright and well ventilated interior is complemented by beautiful traditional exterior lines.

She was awarded 1997 Boat of the Year Category: Full-Size Cruiser, Best Value by Cruising World Magazine.

The traditional interior features cherry stained interior finish, with a teak and holly composite cabin sole and wooden cabinet doors with ventilation louvers..  This is nicely set off with the dark blue cushions throughout the boat.  All mattresses and cushions feature a high density foam with removable covers.  She has a Mojava cabin heater (runs off the engine's hot water) with 14,000BTUs of heat.  There are 6 large overhead hatches with built-in shade and 11 opening ports.

In this 4 cabin layout, there are two forward cabins.  Each of the mirror image forward cabins feature a room double berth with storage beneath the berth, a large hanging locker in the aft outboard corner of the stateroom and a bench seat with plenty of floor space for dressing in privacy.  There is a rail around the aft bulkhead and the centerline bulkhead that allows you to install the included third berth as a single bunk above the lower berth to allow this boat to sleep a total of 12 people.

Next aft is the salon, a roomy dining table surrounded by a wrap around settee to starboard, with a central bench seat midships, to allow you maximum dining and entertaining space.  The table lowers to convert to a double berth if desired.  All of the cushions have a dark blue upholstery in good condition.  The central bench seat has a backrest for comfort and support.  This also acts as a great handhold when needing stability in a seaway.

The starboard dinette settee is surrounded by storage, with shelves and two built in cabinets.  The center bench is all storage..  The hull sides are lined with wood lathe strips adding to the traditional look of the interior.

Across to port is the spacious galley.  With a Corian style counter top, and "tons" of storage.  Starting from the forward end, there is a large working countertop area with storage underneath.  A deep double S.S. sink with hot and cold pressure water.  Then a gimbaled two burner propane stove with oven, S.S. holding bar in front of the stove, then next aft is the huge  top loading refrigerator/freezer with Frigomat cold plate refrigeration.

There are four storage cabinet along the hull side with rattan screening for ventilation, sliding plastic storage baskets for accessibility, and a trash can under the counter. With two large opening ports over the galley and two non opening ports in the hull side, this is a bright and airy galley.  And with the positioning of the galley across from the dinette, the cook is always included in the conversations.

At the aft end of the dinette is the nav station.  There is plenty of storage under the lifting lid, or in shelves under the working area for all you nav needs.  The electrical control panel, and the stereo are mounted here.  Plenty of room for any additional options to be added.

It's convenient location allows it to be a adjunct to the dining table for additional serving.

Across from each other and to port and starboard of the companionway are the heads.  Each one is a mirror image of the other, with 1 piece molded fiberglass liners for water tightness and easy cleaning.  They each have a marine toilet & 15 gal holding tank, fiberglass wash hand basin, vanity cabinet, mirrors, S/S handrail, and storage for your toilet accessories.

The companionway steps are molded fiberglass for ease of maintenance with non-skid stripping. Hinged for easy access to engine room.

The symmetrical aft cabins are aft and both to port and starboard.  They each have large double berths with a length of 6' 7" and are 4' 9" across the head and 3' 7" across the foot.  Both cabins feature shelves along the hull side and storage under each berth and a large hanging locker.  Both side also offer additional access to the engine compartment.
