1988 Catalina 30 Mk II   Tall Rig

Catalina 30 waiting at the dock  This is the later reincarnation of the famous Catalina 30 layout.  There are additional opening ports for ventilation and a sit down nav station that the earlier models lacked.

She has a spacious vee berth forward with "tons" of storage. The owner just had a custom solid teak shelf built in across the forward end of the vee berth to add additional storage. This is a great place for those sea bags you never know what to do with .....Click for larger image .....

Next aft to port is the head, with a shower and sump, hot and cold pressure water and great ventilation. Across from the head are a hanging locker and more shelves for additional storage. The spacious salon is next with an L-shaped dinette to port and a single settee to starboard. The dinette converts easily to a huge double berth for the rare occasions when you really need to sleep seven people. There is generous storage throughout the salon with storage below and behind the dinette and the settee. There are shelves and cabinets outboard on both sides of the salon.

On starboard and just to the right of the companionway is the forward facing, sit-down nav station. There is plenty of room for all of your instruments and it is the electrical hub of the boat. The breaker panel is hinged with a key lock and folds out for easy access for maintenance.

Across from the nav station is the U shaped galley. She has a gimballed 3 burner stove with oven, double S.S. sink, hot and cold pressure water system, manual fresh water system, great counter space, plenty of storage for all of your galley equipment and a nice sized icebox. Aft and to port (behind the nav station) is the quarterberth. It extends under the floor of the cockpit to easily sleep a couple. There is an opening port and the front is open to the salon for lots of light and air.
