2001 Gib'Sea 33

Hunter 40 waiting for you at the dock ......   Gib'sea is well known and loved in Europe.  Brought into the Dufour family of yachts while keeping the quality that it is famous for.  A comfortable and well made performance cruiser that still looks and smells like a new boat..  Exceptional and well equipped.  Lightly sailed by the original owners who purchased Click here for larger view of Gibsea 33 beautiful salonboat in September 2001 for family cruising in Lake Michigan.

Gib ‘Sea 33 is luminous and as spacious as many 36 footers due to its wide beam and many opening portholes and hatches.  The well thought out design has given this vessel 2 very spacious staterooms, in addition to the spacious salon with lots of room for entertaining.  Its elegant lines enable sailing performance levels worthy of a real sailing yacht.  The composite teak and holly sole throughout the boat give a traditional, yet easy to maintain finish.

The forward stateroom features a spacious vee berth, built-in shelves on both sides for all of your "little things" like glasses and books, overhead reading lights on each side of the cabin, Built in seats (one on each side) for dressing and putting on your shoes in privacy, 2 large hanging lockers with shelves for storage, overhead hatch for lots of light and ventilation. A very comfortable space for you or your guests.

Next aft is the main salon.  The beautiful woodwork with the dramatic grain is the first thing that catches your Click for larger shot of Gib'Sea Galleyeye.  Nicely accented by the bright off-white fabric with blue accents.   Lots of light and air, four large opening ports, two large additional ports in the hull sides for additional light, a large opening overhead hatch and 12V reading lights everywhere you need them.  There are screens for the companionway.

Port and starboard settees with a centerline drop-leaf table.  This convenient layout gives you all the room you want for entertaining, and folds everything out of the way when "just hanging out".  The table has built in storage including a wine rack, there are large shelves behind each settee, and more storage under the settees.  The backs on each settee flip up to help them convert easily into single berths for guests.

Next aft to port is the galley. Galley is light and bright with great access.  There is a 2 burner gimbaled propane stove with oven, large deep stainless steel sink, corian countertops,  large icebox with Frigomatic refrigeration, and plenty of storage.

Across to starboard from the galley is the nav station. The nav station has built in storage, the main ships electrical panel, the VHF radio, the CD/AM/FM stereo and plenty of room to add more electronics if desired.  The countertop on the nav is also a Corian type material, allowing it to be used as additional food prep or serving space if you want.

And behind the nav station is the head.  The head has a manual marine toilet, convenient mirror, vanity with built in storage and a Corian countertop.  The shower area features a spray shield to allow shower without the mess, plenty of storage and access to the rear of the engine compartment.

The private aft stateroom is to port and behind the galley.  It features a spacious double quarterberth, opening port for light and air, hanging locker with shelves, overhead hatch with a solar vent, and both an overhead light and a reading light.

A very comfortable, good sailing boat in VERY good condition,  a must see......
