1992 Catalina 36 Tall Rig 

Catalina 36 relaxing at the dock  New to the market.  This is a one owner fresh water boat owned by a retired Navy Lt. Commander (hence the name) who really knows how to equip and maintain a boat. This is a beautiful and immaculately maintained Catalina 36.  The interior is the very usable, spacious  layout that Catalina is famous for. Spacious salon ready for diningThe forward stateroom has a generous vee berth forward, large hanging locker, lots of storage and great light and ventilation.  Next aft and to port is the roomy head with shower, hot and cold water, teak grate, integral shower sump and a great vanity with mirror. There is additional storage across to starboard of the head.  Next aft is the salon with the 36's "trademark" layout.  There is a huge U-shaped dinette to port that converts easily to a double berth for extra guests.  She has a gorgeous brass trawler lamp over the dinette and an incredible custom mirror on the bulkhead. Across to starboard is the unique convertible seating area with twin seats with a small table between them.  Storage is behind both settees, with bookshelves and cabinets throughout.

The large U-shaped galley is next aft to port with tons of storage and counter space. The galley has a 2 burner gimballed propane stove with oven, built-in microwave, salt water manual pump, large double opening icebox with refrigeration, hot and cold pressure water, double S.S. sink and large dry storage area.

Across to starboard is the sit down, forward facing  nav station.  There is easy access to the companionway, and lots of room for all instrumentation. 

There are opening ports (all with screens),  opening hatches with screens and 2 large dorade vents to provide great light and air throughout the boat.
The interior features the beautiful teak joinery and teak and holly cabin sole that make for a warm and traditional interior. There is a brass oil lamp for those quiet evenings at anchor, and a gorgeous brass clock and barometer.  She is equipped with 2 optional cabin fans for those hot summer evenings.

Sails and Rigging
Aluminium spar stepped on deck, stainless steel wire standing rigging, Hood LD roller furling, painted mast and boom, mainsheet traveler, boom vang.  Full batten main with Lazy Mate, 150% radial cut furling genoa with Aeroluff.  Primary winches are self-tailing 2-speed.   She is equipped with an extra jib halyard, spinnaker halyard, reef lines and jib sheets.  All lines led aft to cockpit for easy handling.

Engine and Mechanical
IB 30 hp Universal diesel Model 35 engine, fresh water cooled, 3 bladed prop, raw water filter, sistership galleymanual wheel steering, fire extinguishers, large manual bilge pump in cockpit, automatic electric bilge pump, hot water heater heat exchanger and 110V, manual holding tank head, 3 blade cruising prop, engine and stove fuel shut off valves.
