1980 Young Sun 35

This is a Bob Perry designed cruiser is a new listing. She personifies everything you could want in a blue water cruiser. Built in 1980 and commissioned in 1981, she is beautiful and seakindly. She is bright, airy and roomy with all new upholstery on the interior cushions and 6'4" headroom below.

She will sleep six with a private double cabin forward. There is a nav station with a second compass. The traditional interior has a removable headliner retained by teak strips, a teak and holly cabin sole, an oil lamp over the dinette, a wet locker, 8 opening bronze ports with screens and 3 opening hatches with screens. The head has a hand held shower, S.S. sink, a manual head with 40-50 gallon holding tank. The head has been completely redone with new head, holding tank, and hoses.

The galley has 12V Adler Barbour refrigeration, S.S. CNG gimballed 3-burner stove with oven, two CNG tanks, hot and cold pressure water, double S.S. sink and 12V salt water pump.

Deck and Hull

Captain's Yachting Service in Sarnia did a professional blister repair job on the bottom and Awlgripped the hull.

Sails and Rigging
Cutter rigged with Harken roller furling headsail and boomed staysail, aluminum mast and booms, internal halyards, S.S. wire rigging, two reef points in the mainsail, lazy jacks, cabintop traveller, new main in 1989, new genoa 1991, two spinnakers, staysail, two roller furling headsails, whisker pole, self-tailing Lewmar cockpit winches. There are two self-tailing Lewmar winches on the cabin top with sheet stoppers for the main halyard, mainsheet, staysail sheet, and roller furling line. The Lewmar self-tailing genoa halyard winch is mounted on the starboard side of the mast. There is a second winch on the port side of the mast and a Barlow winch on the main boom for the reefing lines.

Engine
She has an inboard Yanmar 35hp 3QM30F diesel, new in 1980 and a 60 gallon fuel tank. The original owners have upgraded the engine mounts and the prop shaft. 12V and 110V system with a 15amp automatic battery charger and a 3 stage, 12V Ample Power system with 100 amp alternator.
